Scalable Trustworthy AI(STAI) 그룹을 이끌며 AI 시스템을 대규모에서도 신뢰할 수 있고 설명 가능하며 인간의 의도에 부합하도록 만드는 연구를 한다. 컴퓨터 비전과 머신러닝의 프라이버시·보안 측면을 포함해 신뢰성을 AI의 실용적 영향력 확대의 핵심으로 본다.
