안재명 교수가 이끄는 Strategic Aerospace Initiative(SAI) 연구실은 발사체, 위성 군집, 달 탐사 시스템 등 복잡한 항공우주 시스템의 분석과 설계를 연구한다. 무인기 경로 최적화, 자율 의사결정, 재사용 발사체 설계, 군집위성 궤도 설계, 심층 강화학습을 활용한 항공우주 시스템 최적화 등이 주요 연구 주제이다.
