KAIST 항공우주공학과 이동호 교수의 우주 전기추진 및 이온빔 응용 연구실(SEPIA)이다. 우주공간에서 플라즈마를 가속해 미세추력을 얻는 전기추진 기술을 핵심으로, 초소형 위성·큐브샛용 소형 추진기와 우주수송용 대형 전기추진 시스템을 개발한다. 고출력 전기추진의 플라즈마 물리와 저온 플라즈마·이온빔의 재료 상호작용을 차세대 추진기에 응용하는 연구를 수행한다.
