김상우 교수 연구실은 연세대 신소재공학부 소속으로, 마찰전기 나노발전기(triboelectric nanogenerator)와 에너지 하베스팅을 연구한다. 김 교수는 인간 친화형 마찰전기 에너지 하베스팅 연구센터장을 맡고 있으며, 생체흡수성 마찰전기 신경 차단 시스템 등 자가발전형 바이오·웨어러블 소자로 연구를 확장하고 있다.
