김태완 교수 연구실(Stem Cell Engineering/Therapy Lab)은 DGIST 뉴바이올로지전공 소속으로, 인간 만능줄기세포를 이용해 인체 발생과 퇴행을 이해하고 난치성 질환의 줄기세포 기반 치료제를 개발한다. 파킨슨병 세포치료에서 이식 후 세포 생존율을 높이는 임상 적용 가능 기술을 규명해 Cell 지에 발표했다.
