구재형 교수 연구실(Brain-Immune Axis Lab)은 DGIST 뉴바이올로지전공 소속으로, 건강과 질병 상태에서 뇌와 면역계 사이의 상호작용(brain-immune crosstalk)을 연구한다. 장내 미생물·병원체 유래 대사물질과 수용체 상호작용을 통한 염증, 알츠하이머 등 치매, 교모세포종 등 암을 다루며, 비후각 조직에서의 후각수용체(GPCR) 발현과 기능도 탐구한다.
