박지환 교수 연구실(기능 유전체학 연구실)은 GIST 생명과학부 소속으로, 만성 신장질환 등 질병의 발병 기전을 이해하기 위해 다양한 유전체 빅데이터를 통합 분석한다. 핵심 기술인 단일세포 분석(single-cell)을 활용해 장기를 구성하는 세포 유형과 질병 과정의 변화를 규명하며, 당뇨병성 신장질환의 조절인자를 밝히는 연구를 수행한다.
