건설및환경공학과 소속으로 Climate System Lab을 이끄는 기후과학자이다. 온실가스 증가가 기후 시스템에 미치는 영향을 학제적으로 연구하며, 지구 시스템 과학, 기후 모델링, 극한기상 강화, 생태계 영향 등을 다룬다. 또한 적응·완화를 위한 기후공학(climate engineering)을 연구 주제로 삼고 있다.
