About

KAIST 기계공학과 겸직 교수로 자동차·항공·해양 분야 수송용 동력기관의 고효율·청정 연소를 연구하는 미래수송동력연구실(FTPL)을 이끈다. HCCI, 저온 디젤 연소, 탄소중립·대체연료, 직분사 엔진 등을 다루며 압력 계측·고속 가시화·레이저 진단(LDV, PDA, LIF, LII) 기법으로 연소를 분석한다. 탄소중립을 위한 에너지 기술 관점과 탄소중립 연료 응용이 GGGS 연구 주제다.
