정량적 방법론을 활용해 대중과 제도가 논쟁적인 에너지·기후 기술에 어떻게 반응하는지를 연구하는 부교수이다. 에너지·기후 정치, 에너지 전환의 환경 정의, 신기술 거버넌스를 폭넓게 다루며 태양지구공학·재생에너지부터 데이터센터 규제까지 사례를 분석한다. 집계 수준에서는 분명해 보이는 추세가 데이터를 세밀하게 들여다보면 훨씬 복잡해진다는 점을 드러내는 연구로 알려져 있다.
