나노 구조 소재의 합성과 고차 구조로의 조립, 그리고 전기·광 특성을 연구한다. 잘 정의된 형태의 금속·금속산화물·반도체 나노결정을 합성하고, 연료전지와 태양에너지 변환을 위한 촉매 및 플라즈모닉 플랫폼을 개발한다. 응용 분야는 연료전지, 센싱, 나노의학, 광전지에 이른다.
