KAIST 화학과 김태규 교수의 Sustainable PhotoElectroChem(SPEC) 연구실은 지속가능한 에너지 응용을 위한 고효율 광촉매 소재와 광전기화학 셀(PEC)의 개발·분석을 연구한다. 광촉매(PC)와 광전극의 에너지 변환 효율 향상, CO2 광환원, 물 분해 광양극 등을 다룬다. 김 교수는 KAIST에서 학·석·박사를 마치고 부산대 교수를 거쳐 KAIST에 재직 중이다.
