유기금속촉매화학과 전이금속 촉매 반응을 연구한다. C-H 결합 활성화를 통한 방향족 화합물의 선택적 관능화 및 로듐 기반 촉매계 개발에 중점을 둔다. 직접적 C-H 아민화, 금속 무촉매 산화적 C-N 결합 형성, 비대칭 촉매 등 생물활성 화합물 합성을 위한 다양한 유기 변환 반응을 연구한다.
