계산 양자물질 연구실(CQML)을 이끄는 응집물질물리 이론 분야 부교수로, 첨단 물질의 양자 현상을 계산물리로 탐구한다. 바일 준금속 등 위상물질, 2차원 전이금속 칼코겐화물, 비스무트 나노튜브, 전하밀도파, 평탄밴드 물리를 연구한다. Physical Review Letters·ACS Nano·Small 등에 논문을 발표하고 있다.
