현미경 기반 나노스케일 물리 연구실(MNPL)을 이끄는 부교수로, 나노·원자/분자 수준 물체(고체·액체·복합물질)의 기초 물리를 탐구한다. AFM·SEM·STM과 라만 분광을 결합해 저차원 물질을 분석한다. 최근 유연 전자소자용 금 박막의 최적 두께를 규명한 연구를 Applied Surface Science에 발표했다.
