홍정욱 교수의 응용역학 연구실(Advanced Applied Mechanics Laboratory, AAML)은 전산역학을 기반으로 충돌 및 폭발, 재난과학기술, 연쇄붕괴, 3D 프린팅, 생체모방, 비선형 초음파, 지진공학, 구조건전성 모니터링 등을 연구한다. 응용역학 전반에 걸친 전산·실험 융합 연구를 수행한다.
