김진수 교수의 지반공학 연구실(Geosystems/Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory)은 전통적 지반공학에 현대 이론과 신기술을 접목하여 지하공간 개발, 지반공학의 지속가능 개발, 바이오-지반(Bio-Soil), 에너지 지반공학 등을 연구한다. 지반 재료의 미시적 거동을 통해 중간·거시 규모 거동을 이해하는 데 중점을 둔다.
