최규동 교수 연구실은 UNIST 수리과학과 소속으로, 편미분방정식 해석을 연구한다. 오일러·나비에-스토크스 방정식 등 유체 방정식과 수리생물학에서 나오는 보존법칙을 다루며, 와동 동역학(vortex patch·안정성)·축대칭 흐름의 유한시간 폭발과 대역 정칙성, 케러-시겔 등 주화성 모형의 진행파를 연구한다.
