권봉석 교수 연구실은 UNIST 수리과학과 소속으로, 해석학과 편미분방정식을 연구한다. 쌍곡 보존법칙과 운동론(kinetic theory), 비선형파의 안정성을 주제로 하며, 오일러-푸아송계·캔-힐리어드 방정식·블라소프-푸아송계·자기유체역학(MHD) 파동과 플라즈마 동역학의 특이점 형성, 충격파 안정성, 준중성 극한 등을 다룬다.
