경상국립대학교 산업시스템공학부 정보체계및컴퓨터응용 전공 교수로 EDB연구실을 운영한다. 디지털화된 BOM(부품표) 표현과 구현, 제품 자료 분석, 스마트 커넥티드 제품 및 스마트 제품-서비스 시스템, 제품자료관리(PDM) 시스템 개발을 연구하며 디지털화된 미래 제품의 개발과 사용을 지향한다.
