이봉재 교수의 TRAD Lab(Thermal Radiation Laboratory)은 KAIST 기계공학과 소속으로, 기존 열전달 이론으로 예측되지 않는 마이크로/나노스케일 복사 열전달의 기초를 규명한다. 근접장 열광전(near-field thermophotovoltaic) 에너지 변환, 주간 복사냉각, 폴라리톤 매개 열전도 향상, 비접촉 마이크로 온도측정, AI 기반 열시스템 설계 등을 연구한다.
