이상민(Fabian Rotermund) 교수의 KAIST 물리학과 초고속 레이저 및 광학 연구실(Ultrafast Lasers & Photonics Lab, ULPL)이다. 초고속 레이저·초고속 현상, 도파로 레이저, 나노카본 광소자, 강전계 광대역 테라헤르츠(THz) 비선형 광학·스핀트로닉스, UV-THz 광대역 시간분해/비선형 분광 등을 연구한다. 교수는 베를린 막스보른연구소를 거쳐 아주대 교수를 지낸 뒤 KAIST에 재직 중이며 제33대 한국광학회장으로 선출되었다.
