소개

Extreme Mechanics 연구실은 다양한 고체 구조의 대변형 및 기계적 불안정성과 스마트 재료의 물성 변화 메커니즘을 이해하고 활용하는 연구를 수행한다. 구조물의 비선형 변형과 잔류 응력을 테이블탑 스케일 실험, 유한요소 시뮬레이션, 이론으로 해석하고 이를 소프트 액추에이터·센서 개발에 활용한다. 얇은 탄성 셸 제작 기법과 셸 좌굴의 결함 민감도 최초 실증 등의 성과가 있다.
