서울대학교 기계공학부 교수로 웨어러블 소프트 전자소자 연구실(Wearable Soft Electronics Lab)을 이끈다. 유연·신축성 웨어러블 전자소자 개발, 태양전지·슈퍼커패시터 등 에너지 소자, 나노/마이크로 공정, 레이저 기반 저온 직접 패터닝을 연구한다. 열공학을 기반으로 로보틱스·스마트 제조·에너지 응용 연구를 수행한다.
