열수력 및 에너지시스템 연구실(THE System Lab)은 열·유체·물질 전달 기초 현상의 이해를 바탕으로 비등·응축을 이용한 열전달 표면, 동력변환계통 설계, 에너지 사이클 설계 등을 연구한다. 실험으로 현상을 재현하고 수학적 모델링·시뮬레이션으로 해석하며, 히트파이프·인쇄기판 열교환기, 원자력·핵융합 발전소 계통 설계 및 안전성 평가, 최근에는 생체 시스템 설계와 혈관 유동 분석으로 분야를 확장하고 있다.
