KAIST 원자력및양자공학과 부교수(2025년 3월 부임)로, Applied Plasma Research & Innovation Lab(APRIL)을 이끈다. 저온·대기압 플라즈마의 진단과 특성 분석, 플라즈마-액체 상호작용, 전기수력학(EHD), 플라즈마 촉매·화학을 연구한다. 공기 중 질소를 환경친화적으로 고정하고 반응성 화학종을 실시간 제어하는 플라즈마 기술과 AI 기반 분광 해석 기술 개발 성과로 주목받았다.
