부산대학교 기계공학부 기계시스템설계 전공 교수로 역학파제어 연구실(MWave Lab)을 운영한다. 소음·진동 저감 구조체 개발, 냉장고·식기세척기 방사소음 해석 및 실험, 소음진동 경로전달(TPA) 해석을 연구한다. 층간소음 저감 및 가전기기 소음진동 문제에 대한 실험적·수치적 접근으로 산업체 연계 연구를 수행한다.
