부산대학교 기계공학부 정밀가공시스템 전공 교수로 지능형 적층제조 연구실을 운영한다. 적층제조(3D 프린팅)와 관련된 설계·모니터링·제작·후처리·평가 전 영역을 연구하며, DED 공정을 이용한 재제조·보수 기술, PBF 방식 차세대 열교환기, 웨어러블 디바이스 센서 개발 등을 다룬다.
