시공간데이터베이스 연구실은 실내공간인지, 공간정보 표준, 스마트 시티와 디지털 트윈, 공간정보 기반 스포츠과학, Geo-IoT, AR/MR 등 시공간 데이터 관련 연구를 수행한다. 지도교수는 국제표준 OGC IndoorGML 의장을 맡았으며 실내공간정보 분야에서 미국·유럽·일본 기관과 국제 공동연구를 진행한다.
