지능통신연구실은 2004년 설립되어 무선 메시 네트워크의 핸드오프 기술·QoS·MAC 개발, 스마트 모바일 하이브리드 DMB 방송 기술, DDS 기반 시험통제망 QoS 보장기술, 2.4GHz Active RFID 시스템과 에너지 절약 프로토콜 등을 연구한다. 국방과학연구소·ETRI 등과 협력하는 실용 중심 연구실이다.
