머신러닝 & 바이오인포메틱스 연구실은 CNN, RNN, GAN 등 딥러닝 기법과 대용량 데이터마이닝을 활용해 빅데이터 통합 분석과 시각화를 연구한다. 특히 유전체·생명의료 데이터마이닝과 암 연구, 스마트 의료 및 스마트 팩토리를 위한 대용량 데이터 분석에 주력한다. 미국 스탠포드대, 싱가포르 국립대 등 해외 기관과 협력하고 있다.
