노재동 교수 연구실은 서울시립대 물리학과 소속으로, 통계물리학과 통계역학을 연구한다. 평형·비평형 상전이와 임계현상, 복잡계, 양자 다체계의 열화(eigenstate thermalization) 등 통계물리의 근본 원리를 다루며, 2022년 한국물리학회상을 수상했다.
