최은집 교수 연구실은 서울시립대 물리학과 소속으로, 광학 분광법(적외선 분광)을 이용해 양자물질의 물성을 실험적으로 연구한다. 고온초전도체와 자성물질 등 응집물질 실험을 주된 분야로 하며, 2차원 물질과 상전이 현상도 다룬다.
