이성재 교수 연구실(미생물유전학 연구실)은 경희대 생명과학과 소속으로, 극한환경에 서식하는 미생물의 생존 방식을 연구한다. 초고온성 아키아와 고온성 세균, 방사선저항성 세균(Deinococcus)을 대상으로 전사조절 기작을 통한 유전자 발현, 당 수송 관련 유전자 조절, 전사조절자(TrmB) 조절 네트워크 등을 다룬다.
