김종우 교수 연구실(BMIR Lab, Biomedical & Intelligent Robotics Laboratory)은 경희대 기계공학과 소속으로, 최소침습 수술 로봇·연속체(continuum) 로봇·소프트 로봇을 연구한다. 텐던 구동 시스템, 조향 가능한 수술 도구, 가변 강성 메커니즘, AI 기반 설계·제어, 센서 융합, 인간-로봇 상호작용 등을 다룬다. 김 교수는 서울대에서 기계공학 학위를 받았다.
