신관우 교수의 Biological Interface 연구실은 서강대 화학과 소속으로, 고분자·생체재료와 계면화학을 연구한다. 빛을 이용해 스스로 에너지를 생산하는 광합성 인공세포를 세계 최초로 개발했으며, 인공세포·합성 소기관, 바이오센서, 종이 기반 미세유체 소자 등을 연구한다. 이 공로로 2019년 '이달의 과학기술인상'을 수상했다.
