김경 교수는 KENTECH 에너지공학부 소속 교양 담당 교수(KENTECH College)이자 학부 에너지공학과 학과장·교육혁신센터장으로, 교육공학을 전공했다(펜실베이니아주립대 학습·설계·기술 박사). 별도의 에너지 분야 실험 연구실을 운영하지는 않는다.
