강지훈 교수는 KAIST 전산학부 조교수로 동시성 및 병렬성 연구실(Concurrency and Parallelism Lab)을 이끈다. 서울대에서 박사학위를 받은 뒤 2019년 KAIST에 합류했으며, 실세계 컴퓨터 시스템의 원리를 형식적으로 이해해 프로그래머의 작성·검증을 돕는 것을 목표로 한다. 비차단 동시성 프로그래밍, 완화된 메모리 일관성 모델, 컴파일러 검증, 프로그래밍 언어 형식 의미론을 연구하며 Rust의 사실상 표준 동시성 라이브러리 Crossbeam을 유지보수한다.
