권영진 교수는 KAIST 전산학부 부교수로 2018년 University of Texas at Austin에서 박사학위를 받고 합류했으며, 컴퓨터 구조 및 시스템 연구실(CASYS Lab)에 소속되어 있다. 운영체제, 컴퓨터 구조, 시스템 전반을 연구하며 특히 메모리 관리·가상화, 커널 동시성 및 디버깅, 파일시스템·스토리지, LLM 추론 최적화, 프로세싱-인-메모리 구조에 집중한다. ACM SOSP에서 아시아 최초로 두 차례(2021, 2024) 최우수 논문상을 수상했다.
