황성주 교수의 MLAI(Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence) 연구실은 KAIST 김재철AI대학원 및 전산학부 소속으로, 기계학습·딥러닝·컴퓨터비전을 연구한다. 최근에는 생성형 AI와 거대언어모델(언어 모델링, 멀티모달 파운데이션 모델, 검색증강생성, 자기진화 AI 등)에 집중하고 있다. 황성주 교수는 텍사스대 오스틴에서 박사학위를 받았다.
