박용근(YongKeun Paul Park) 교수의 생체광학 연구실(Biomedical Optics Laboratory)은 간섭계, 광산란, 광파면 변조에 기반한 새로운 광학 기법을 개발하여 생체·의료 시료를 이미징한다. 정량위상영상(QPI)과 홀로토모그래피(holotomography), 딥러닝을 결합해 세포 내 구조와 동역학을 라벨 없이 측정하고 질병의 물리적 원리를 규명·진단·치료하는 연구를 수행한다.
