곽규진 교수 연구실은 UNIST 물리학과 소속으로, 전산천체물리를 연구한다. 천체물리·실험실 플라즈마, 복사·핵·원자·분자 반응을 포함한 유체역학 시뮬레이션을 수행하며, 시뮬레이션과 관측에서 얻은 천문 빅데이터에 인공지능을 적용한다.
