강석주 교수 연구실(SMEL, Smart Materials for Energy Lab, 스마트 에너지 재료 연구실)은 UNIST 에너지화학공학과 소속으로, 소프트 소재와 저차원(2D) 소재의 교차점에서 에너지 저장 및 유연 박막 소자를 연구한다. 유기·무기 기능성 소재를 합성해 알칼리 이온전지, 금속-공기/해수 전지, 유연 메모리 소자, 태양전지 등에 응용한다.
