KAIST 문술미래전략대학원 부교수이자 녹색성장지속가능대학원(GGGS) 공동교수로, 확률적 예측(probabilistic forecasting)과 응용통계, AI·머신러닝을 연구한다. 풍력·파력 등 재생에너지 발전량과 전력 수요 예측, 위험 추정 및 정량적 의사결정에 통계·AI 기법을 적용한다. 'Forecasting: theory and practice' 등 예측 방법론 관련 다수 논문을 발표했다.
