KAIST 녹색성장지속가능대학원 교수(김지효)로 에너지 수요관리, 에너지 효율 정책, 에너지 전망을 연구한다. 기술·정책·경제의 접점에서 재생에너지 기술 혁신과 정책 이행의 연계를 분석한다. 세계은행과 협력해 한국 기업의 에너지 효율 기술 도입 요인을 기업 단위 데이터로 분석하는 연구를 수행하며, 한국에너지경제연구원 연구위원을 거쳐 부임했다.
