부산대학교 기계공학부 교수로 응용기계음향 및 소음제어 연구실(AMANCL)을 운영한다. 전산공력음향학을 기반으로 유동소음과 진동소음을 해석하며, 고해상도 LES·URANS 기반 CFD로 외부 유동과 표면 압력 변동을 예측한다. Ffowcs Williams & Hawkings 적분식, 파수-주파수 변환 등 음향 분해 절차로 복사·전달 소음을 해석한다.
