부산대학교 기계공학부 컴퓨터 비전 연구실(Vision Lab)을 운영한다. 디지털 영상처리, 객체 인식·추적, 에지 기반 고속 검사 자동화 알고리즘을 연구하며, 교통정보 검출과 지능형 차량 개발을 위한 영상처리 기술을 다룬다. 기계 시스템에 비전 기반 인지 기술을 접목하는 머신비전 분야를 중심으로 한다.
