부산대학교 기계공학부 에너지시스템 전공 교수로 냉동 및 저온공학 분야를 연구한다. 냉매가 관여하는 냉동·히트펌프·칠러 시스템의 열전달과 이상유동 해석, 증발기·응축기 등 핵심 구성요소의 성능 저하 원인 규명, 마이크로채널·핀 형상 설계를 통한 열교환기 및 히트싱크 설계 기술을 다룬다.
