곽보근 교수의 중력이론 연구실은 동국대 물리학과 소속으로, 중력이론을 통해 휘어진 시공간의 구조와 특성을 연구한다. 일반상대성이론이 예측하는 다양한 블랙홀 시공간의 이론적 현상, 수정 중력 및 양자 중력 이론, 고차원 시공간, AdS/CFT 대응성, 중력파 등을 연구한다.
