남우철 교수 연구실(기계시스템을 위한 인공지능 연구실, AIMS Lab)은 중앙대 기계공학부 소속으로, 기계공학에 활용되는 인공지능과 딥러닝을 연구한다. 시스템 제어용 실시간 딥러닝 추론, UAV(드론) 경로 계획, 인간-컴퓨터 인터페이스를 다루며 국제 드론대회·자율주행 AI 챌린지에서 수상한 바 있다.
